Overview

MD2File.net is a free browser-based Markdown to PDF tool. The converter is designed for fast document export without accounts, payments, or server-side Markdown conversion.

Markdown Content

Markdown that you paste, type, or load from a .md file is processed in your browser. MD2File.net does not require you to upload Markdown content to our servers to generate a PDF.

The generated PDF is created in your browser and saved or previewed through your browser's normal file handling features.

Files You Select

When you choose a .md file, the file is read by your browser so the editor can replace its current content. The file is not intentionally uploaded to MD2File.net by the converter.

External Images

If your Markdown includes external image URLs, your browser may request those images from the third-party domains listed in your Markdown. During PDF export, MD2File.net may try to load those external images in the browser so they can be embedded in the PDF. If an image cannot be loaded, the PDF uses a readable image label instead of blocking the export.

Analytics and Logs

MD2File.net may use privacy-conscious analytics, hosting logs, or similar operational tools to understand traffic, diagnose errors, and improve the site. These tools may collect technical information such as page URL, browser type, approximate region, device information, referrer, and event timing.

We do not use accounts for the converter and do not collect login credentials, payment details, or subscription information for this free tool.

Cookies

The site may use cookies or local browser storage for basic preferences such as theme, locale, or analytics settings. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We may share limited technical data with service providers that help operate, host, secure, or measure the website, or when required by law.

Security

Local browser processing reduces the need to send Markdown content to a server. Still, no website or browser environment can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. Avoid pasting highly sensitive secrets, passwords, private keys, or regulated data into any online tool unless you have reviewed the risk for your situation.
